Hosted

Totenvis runs entirely on our infrastructure, not yours — the smallest option if you'd rather not run anything yourself.

What Totenvis does

We run your install for you, away from your own network. To see what's actually on your network — the switches, access points and everything else discovery would otherwise sweep for — it reaches a small on-site collector you run: a single container or small VM that watches your network and sends what it finds outward to your hosted install. Nothing is opened for us to reach in; the connection only ever goes out from your side. Because we run the install, it's entitled by that arrangement rather than by a licence file or key.

Getting started

  1. Talk to us. Hosted doesn't have a self-serve sign-up yet — contact us and we'll set up your hosted install.

  2. Run the on-site collector, if you want your network included. Without it, a hosted install still works for anything reporting through the device agent — it just won't see the rest of the network. A packaged collector with its own recommended setup and written enrolment steps is still being built; until it ships, we'll set the collector up with you directly rather than hand you a self-serve package.

  3. You sign in to the hosted install at the address we give you, the same way as any Totenvis install.

Beyond that, you use it the same way a self-hosted customer does, day to day. Your plan, invoices and this install's record live separately at account.totenvis.com.
